Schools of Hope in Madison

Become a Schools of Hope Tutor in Madison elementary schools!

SUMMER 2022 UPDATE:

We are not placing any tutors for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year or during the summer. However, we hope to be able to place more volunteers in the fall, pending Madison Metropolitan School District’s (MMSD) COVID guidelines. If you are interested in volunteering in the fall, there are several steps you need to take to become a fully approved tutor with our program and MMSD, if you haven’t done so already:

  1. Complete our application
  2. Register to become a volunteer with MMSD (this includes a background check and COVID vaccine verification)
  3. Complete three online required MMSD trainings
    • Leaning Forward Together
    • COVID-19 Health and Safety
    • Building Safety Protocols

We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate the ongoing pandemic and figure out the ways in which to best support our students. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We hope to see you in the fall!
