Schools of Hope in Madison
Become a Schools of Hope Tutor in Madison elementary schools!
FALL 2021 UPDATE: The Madison Metropolitan School District has announced its plan to have in-person school for all elementary students this fall. For the start of the 2021-22 school year, community volunteers will NOT be allowed in MMSD buildings for health and safety purposes due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is a school district decision and will be reviewed as COVID guidance changes. As safety and security policies, processes and procedures are reviewed and updated, we will share them here.
With that being said, we plan to have a limited number of VIRTUAL volunteer opportunities available for interested tutors. If you would like to tutor virtually, we invite you to fill out our new volunteer application for 2021-2022, which can be found below. Once you fill out the application, you will receive more information about any volunteer opportunities we may have this fall.
For those with an interest toward in-person tutoring opportunities, we are unsure if and when these will become available. However, we are currently seeking additional AmeriCorps Members to be placed in schools. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an AmeriCorps Member, please visit our Positions page! Please continue to check our website for any updates. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like additional information.
